POSEIDOCANTHYS was not as large as Carcharadon megalodon, but what it lacked in size, it made up for in ferocity. Dwelling in the delta's and estuaries all over the world, it commanded great respect and fear.
It's teeth give this shark its name. The three pronged teeth in the lower jaw held its prey in place. while its serrated upper teeth sliced through meat and bone.
It had very few enemies because of a secret weapon: a fifteen inch spine on its dorsal fin which housed a strong toxin that would cause almost incessant bleeding in its rivals or adversaries.

The way its teeth are positioned reminds me a bit of the future Shark from primeval.
